Best Time to Visit:
This tour is best taken between October and March, when the weather is nice and comfortable for touring all of the locations, particularly the sacred cities of Mathura and Vrindavan. From April to June, temperatures can reach extremely high levels.
Golden Triangle with Mathura & Vrindavan: 6 Nights / 7 Days
Day 1: Arrival in Delhi
* Arrive at Delhi International Airport (DEL).
* Meet your tour representative and transfer to your hotel.
* Relax and settle in. Depending on your arrival time, you can explore the hotel vicinity or just unwind.
* Overnight stay in Delhi.
Day 2: Sightseeing in Delhi
* Explore a full-day tour of Delhi after breakfast.
* Old Delhi: Pay your respects at Raj Ghat (Mahatma Gandhi's memorial), take a rickshaw ride through the busy Chandni Chowk market, and visit Jama Masjid (India's largest mosque). Red Fort is visible from the outside (closed on Mondays).
* New Delhi: Pass Parliament House, President's House (Rashtrapati Bhavan), and India Gate. See Qutub Minar, India's tallest minaret and another UNESCO World Heritage Site, as well as Humayun's Tomb, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the forerunner of the Taj Mahal.
* Spend the night in Delhi.
Day 3: Delhi to Mathura & Vrindavan (approx. 3-4 hours drive)
* After breakfast, check out from your Delhi hotel and drive to Mathura and Vrindavan, the twin holy towns associated with Lord Krishna.
* Upon arrival, check into your hotel in Mathura or Vrindavan.
* In the afternoon, begin your spiritual exploration:
* Mathura: Visit Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi Temple Complex, believed to be the birthplace of Lord Krishna. Also, visit Dwarkadheesh Temple. You can also experience the evening aarti (depand on your interest) at Vishram Ghat on the banks of the Yamuna River.
* Vrindavan: Visit Banke Bihari Temple (known for its unique darshan style where the idol is hidden and revealed periodically) and Prem Mandir (a grand temple famous for its intricate carvings and evening light and sound show).
* Important Note on Temple Timings: Many temples in Mathura and Vrindavan have specific morning and evening darshan (viewing) timings with a break in the afternoon. Your guide/driver will help you plan visits accordingly.
* Overnight stay in Mathura/Vrindavan.
Day 4: Mathura/Vrindavan to Agra (approx. 1.5-2 hours drive)
* In the morning, you can revisit a temple in Vrindavan or Mathura, or visit ISKCON Vrindavan Temple (Sri Krishna Balaram Mandir), known for its serene atmosphere and devotional chants.
* After breakfast, check out from your hotel and drive to Agra.
* Upon arrival in Agra, check into your hotel.
* In the afternoon, visit Agra Fort, a magnificent red sandstone fort that was the main residence of the Mughal emperors. It offers splendid views of the Taj Mahal.
* You could also visit Itmad-ud-Daulah's Tomb, often referred to as the "Baby Taj," known for its intricate marble inlay work.
* Overnight stay in Agra.
Day 5: Agra to Jaipur via Fatehpur Sikri (approx. 5-6 hours drive)
* Early morning, witness the breathtaking Taj Mahal at sunrise. The monument is absolutely magical in the soft morning light (closed on Fridays).
* Return to the hotel for breakfast.
* Check out and drive towards Jaipur, the "Pink City" of Rajasthan.
* En route, visit Fatehpur Sikri, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a deserted Mughal city built by Emperor Akbar. Explore its well-preserved palaces, courtyards, and the grand Buland Darwaza.
* Continue your drive to Jaipur.
* Upon arrival, check into your hotel.
* Overnight stay in Jaipur.
Day 6: Jaipur Sightseeing
* After breakfast, begin your Jaipur exploration.
* Start with an excursion to Amber Fort, a magnificent hill fort. Enjoy an elephant ride (optional, subject to availability and long queues) or a jeep ride up to the fort entrance.
* Drive past Jal Mahal (Water Palace).
* In the afternoon, visit the City Palace, a complex of courtyards, gardens, and buildings, which blends Rajasthani and Mughal architecture. Part of it is still a royal residence.
* Explore Jantar Mantar, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and an astronomical observatory.
* Visit the iconic Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds) for a photo stop from the outside.
* In the evening, you can explore the vibrant local bazaars of Jaipur.
* Overnight stay in Jaipur.
Day 7: Jaipur to Delhi & Departure (approx. 5-6 hours drive)
* After breakfast, check out from your Jaipur hotel.
